El Faro
Our Activity Center
The activty center is open Monday through Friday in the afternoons, offering a safe and welcoming space for children to learn, play, and grow. Each day features a variety of activities for children to participate in, along with Bible studies designed for different age groups.
Computer Room
Our Computer Room provides children with opportunities to learn basic computer skills, play educational games, and engage with Biblical content in a fun and meaningful way.
Library
We encourage children to develop a love for reading through our library. The library offers books in Spanish and English for all ages, helping children grow both academically and spiritually.
Afternoon Activities
Every afternoon, the outdoor area at El Faro is open for free-time activities. Children can enjoy coloring books, games, puzzles, blocks, and other simple activities in a safe and supervised environment.
Bible Study
On Wednesday nights from 6:30–8:00 PM, we host a Bible study for youth. Bible studies are a new concept in the Providencia area, where churches typically focus on preaching. Each evening begins with coffee and a light pastry as the youth arrive, followed by prayer, Scripture reading, and teaching the truths of God’s Word.
Children’s Program
Every Saturday from 10:00am to 12:00pm, we hold a children’s program filled with games, songs, a Bible story, and a related craft. We always end our time together by sharing a meal.
Sports
Sports play an important role in building teamwork, discipline, and relationships. We have two small fields available for activities such as soccer, volleyball, and dodgeball. In addition, we offer a four-square court, jump ropes, and frisbees, giving children many opportunities for active play and positive interaction.
With all of our programs we want to empower the Christians in San Antonio De Cortes to reach out and serve their community. We desire to teach Hondurans how to run the programs. We want to partner with the local churches as we concrete floors and build houses, so they are the ones building the relationships.
